Seyssins

Europe

It was time to retreat from the Alps. The last two days of riding had taken a toll on our legs. We needed a chance to recover.

From Vizille we had a short journey to a suburb of Grenoble called Seyssins, where we decided to splurge on a cheap hotel room for a little down time and some sweet sweet air conditioning. The last few days were in the low 30s, too hot for any physical exertion.

We arrived in Seyssins around 11am. Checking into the hotel was not an option so we headed for the nearest park to laze in the shade until 2pm, when we figured our room would be ready.

Upon entering our room I immediately found the controller for the AC and set it to maximum chill. We then spent the rest of the day and evening on this wonderful invention called a bed with these amazing puffy blobs called pillows. What will the French think of next? A phone that lets you listen to music and surf the internet, at the same time? Hey, they invented the metric system. Anything’s possible.
