Lons-le-Saunier

It was another hot one going from Dole to Lons-le-Saunier. We rolled through lots of farmland, which meant that the headwind could find us without first negotiating trees and shrubs.

We did find solace however temporarily on a cycle path built on an old rail line just south of Dole. The path alternated between smooth pavement and smooth dirt, giving us something to talk about other than the wind.

All in all it was a pleasant day without drama.
