Saint Claude rest day

Europe

It rained today, all day. Therefore we remained in Saint Claude in the confines of our tent, which is getting tired of its job being waterproof.

It’s been rare for us to take rest days. The last day off the bike was when we visited Paris, but that can’t count as a rest day because we nearly wore through our shoe soles with all of the walking we did. So our last real rest day was when we arrived in Norway. No wait, we walked all over Tromsรธ that day. My knees creaked for days after that. Okay, so our last real rest day was at the hostel Tongue in Scotland. We didn’t do any walking. I remember spending most of that day on a sofa reading and watching rain storm after rain storm pass quietly by.
