Our friends Michae and Collin invited us to do some bikepacking in the deserts of Southern California during the week of the Christmas and New Years holidays. The plan was to visit Joshua Tree National Park for a three-day ride and then drive down to Anza Borrego Desert State Park for an overnighter ride. We borrowed ideas from the Joshua Tree route and Anza-Hapapha route found on bikepacking.com’s lovely website.

Carrie and I also visited Death Valley National Park on our drive back home to Reno.

Enjoy the photos!

Joshua Tree
